Bialik College is a vibrant Jewish community school with a strong Zionist ethos and an inclusive, pluralistic approach that teaches the full spectrum of Jewish identity. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn East, creating a close-knit community from 3 months in the Creche, and 3 to 18 years in the Early Learning Centre and main school.

With the support and advice from the creative technologies team at Vision One, the school continued their roll-out of Epson interactive classroom projection systems – this time, with 10x new Epson interactive finger-touch projection installations in Building C and the Art Room.

Our bill of materials included the new Epson EB-1485Fi 5,000 ANSI Lumens Finger-Touch Interactive Laser Projector. With its WUXGA resolution and laser display technology, the EB-1485Fi has been designed to be easy to use, enriching collaborative and agile working environments. We installed the projector above existing Low Gloss Whiteboard and fixed inDesign 30w Powered Speakers to either side of the whiteboard . Our recently-upgraded JED T460 Wall Controllers were installed for system control, granting teaching staff the simple, one-button functionality of ON/OFF, VOLUME and SOURCE adjustment commands. For content, we connected existing HDMI/VGA/Audio cabling, offering multiple connection possibilities.

When asked why the school selected the new Epson EB-1485Fi laser based ultra-short throw projectors, Rig Villarias (Network Engineer), and Eloise Fletcher (AV Specialist) said:

“Most of our classrooms already have Epson projection systems installed. As we continue to update older rooms, it was never a question for us what brand we would replace them with. And the new Epson EB-1485Fi finger touch interactive projector was the perfect choice. It’s high 5,000 ANSI Lumens brightness and laser-based technology means that our students have a vibrant, clear, high resolution image, with a projector that requires very little to no ongoing maintenance’.
