Out with the old, in with the new.
Vision One commenced the project by decommissioning all existing AV and video conferencing components, along with associated cabling, ensuring a clean foundation for the new system. The room was then upgraded with a Hisense 86GM50D 86″ UHD Digital Signage Display, mounted securely using a heavy-duty wall bracket to deliver crisp, high-impact visuals.
An intelligent approach to hybrid collaboration.
At the core of the solution is a fully integrated Yealink MVC S80 Microsoft Teams Rooms System, enabling seamless video conferencing functionality. This was complemented by three Yealink VCM35 Wired Microphone Arrays, strategically installed to ensure clear voice pickup across the room, with table cut-outs coordinated for clean cable management. A Yealink MSpeaker Pro Conference Soundbar, mounted beneath the display, delivers rich, room-filling audio, while the Yealink WPP30 Wireless Presentation Pod enables effortless BYOD content sharing. To further enhance flexibility, a Yealink MVC-BYOD Extender was deployed, allowing the room to switch between Microsoft Teams Rooms and alternative UC platforms with ease. Supporting infrastructure includes dual Yealink RCH40-E2 4-Port PoE Switches to ensure reliable connectivity across all devices.
User-control as easy as 1, 2 ,3.
For simplified operation, an AMX NX-1200 NetLinx NX Integrated Controller was installed and programmed directly into the secondary “Flip Page” of the Yealink touch panel. This enables users to control display power, volume and source selection from a single interface, eliminating the need for multiple control points and enhancing overall usability.
To further optimise the room’s performance and energy efficiency, a Yealink Room Occupancy Sensor was integrated with the display via HDMI CEC. This enables intelligent automation, activating the system on entry (“Wake on Signal”) and powering down when the room is unoccupied (“Sleep on Signal Loss”), as tested and confirmed with both Yealink and Hisense systems.
The installation was fully tested and commissioned to ensure all components operated seamlessly as a unified solution.
