The Scots School Albury

Established in 1972, The Scots School Albury was formed through the amalgamation of Albury Grammar School and Woodstock Presbyterian Girls’ School. Drawing on the heritage of its founding schools, Scots is recognised as one of the oldest educational institutions in New South Wales and the longest-standing regional boarding school in the state. Located on an expansive 11-hectare campus in the heart of Albury, the school combines historic character with contemporary learning environments, offering students tailored educational experiences supported by modern facilities.

Laying the foundations for a staged AV transformation.

Vision One Technologies was engaged to deliver Stage 1B of a broader AV rollout across The Scots School Albury, with Stage 1A and the Multi-Purpose Hall scheduled for completion in March. Introduced to the project by PMDL Architects, Vision One worked closely with the design team to ensure the AV solution aligned seamlessly with the school’s architectural vision. Given the regional location, our technicians travelled to and stayed in Albury to complete the works, ensuring on-site continuity, quality control and a smooth delivery experience.

AV/T Objectives
  • Enhance classroom presentation and collaboration through interactive projection and wireless content sharing
  • Deliver consistent, intuitive AV systems across general learning areas and shared learning spaces
  • Ensure reliability, ease of use and future scalability as the wider staged rollout continues

A familiar solution that never fails.

Across six general learning areas, Vision One completed a fit-off installation using cabling pre-installed by the builder. Each classroom was equipped with an Epson EB-1480Fi Laser Interactive Projector, wall-mounted at the designated whiteboard location to support engaging, high-visibility teaching.

Advanced audio where it matters most.

Audio was delivered via Audac ARES5A Speakers positioned on either side of the projected image, ensuring even sound coverage throughout each space. HDMI wall plates with associated cabling were installed to support local device connectivity, while USB and HDMI links were configured to enable interactive functionality exclusively through wireless presentation technology.

Each room was completed with a JED T440 Wall Controller for intuitive system operation, alongside a ScreenBeam SB-1000 Wireless Display Receiver installed above the projector.

Simple control, reliable performance.

In the Learning Street booth seating area, Vision One supplied and installed a Philips 65” Q-Line Android Digital Signage Display, mounted to suit the architectural layout of the space.

Connectivity was provided via HDMI wall plates with integrated cabling, supported by JED T440 Wall Controllers for simple user operation. Dual ScreenBeam SB-1000 Wireless Display Receivers were installed behind the display, enabling flexible wireless sharing for collaborative and informal learning scenarios.

All systems were tested, commissioned and handed over ready for immediate use.
