Bringing big moments to life: transforming St John's gym for performance and presentation.
As part of a broader facilities improvement initiative, St John’s Regional College engaged Vision One Technologies to deliver a high-impact audiovisual upgrade within their gymnasium. The objective was to enhance the space for assemblies, performances and school-wide events, offering students and staff a dynamic and user-friendly experience.

From old to bold: removing the past, installing the future.
The project began with the de-commissioning and removal of the gym’s existing video walls and shutter system, paving the way for a fully refreshed setup. Vision One installed two Aurora LDC50026FP-AOB LED Video Walls on either side of the stage, each featuring full impact protection—a crucial feature for a space that hosts sports and physical activity.
To ensure seamless integration of new video sources into the college’s existing audio system, a Biamp TesiraFORTE AI DSP was deployed. This provided clean, digital audio routing and processing capabilities. A wall-mounted Apprimo TEC-X 1000 Keypad Controller was configured to allow users to switch easily between two main modes: ‘Assembly’ mode for classroom-style presentations (via Vivi and laptop) and ‘Performance’ mode, which enables connection through an existing multicore cable to a rear wall socket.
A stage set for success: a fully integrated AV experience.
Connectivity and user flexibility were further enhanced by installing a powered HDMI wall plate at the front left-hand side of the stage and another at the rack location. These wall plates allow for dual-source video and audio input, automatically sending signals to both LED walls without the need for complex configuration.
Finally, a MIPRO Dual-channel Wideband Diversity Receiver with two wireless handheld transmitters was installed. This provided reliable wireless audio input, giving presenters and performers freedom of movement while maintaining strong signal quality and clarity.

Vision One Technologies successfully transformed the St John’s Regional College gym into a multi-purpose performance and presentation space. With robust new LED displays, integrated audio-visual infrastructure and intuitive user controls, the upgraded system supports a wide range of school events with ease—empowering staff and engaging students with impactful, state-of-the-art AV technology.
