Parade College is a member of the national body of Catholic schools known as Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). Parade College, in common with these schools, takes its inspiration from Br Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers.
Given the post-COVID society we all now live in, educational institutions – much like those in the corporate world – require video conferencing solutions to remain engaged and connected. This is of particular importance at a school like Parade College, whose two campuses (Bundoora and Preston) require consistent liaison. To resolve this problem, Vision One designed and deployed a series of soft-codec video conference systems in 5x meeting spaces across 2x campuses.
To begin, we tackled the Hughes Room, Lynch Room and Treacy Room at the Bundoora campus. A simpler installation, we supplied and installed 3x Sony FWD Series 55″ 4K QFHD Display Panels on standard/flat wall brackets. The BRAVIA FWD-55X80H brings users the clarity, colour and contrast of 4K plus rich multi-dimensional sound, framed in a slim, luxurious design. Each display panel was accompanied by a JED T440 Wall Controller to provide ON/OFF, VOLUME and SOURCE switching control.
To tackle the school’s advanced VC/UC requirements in the Bodkin Room (Bundoora Campus) and the Champagnat Room (Preston Campus), we began by installing 2x Sony BRAVIA 85″ Display Panels. To amplify the audio and provide more diverse sonic treatment, we supplied and installed 2x Audac IMOE1 Sound Bars. The IMEO1 Soundbar features a slim and elegant design and includes all required functions for expansion of any audiovisual system with an impressive sound, while having a minimal hassle for installation. Above each display, we installed an Aver CAM250PRO Camera. AVer’s CAM520 is a professional-grade yet user-friendly PTZ camera perfect for mid to large conference rooms. With 12X optical zoom, HD 1080p, and whisper-silent Pan/Tilt/Zoom features, CAM520 results in uninterrupted sharp images for an outstanding video communication experience.
For microphone/audio recording, we supplied and installed our signature Biamp Devio Conference Room Dock Systems. The Devio SCR-20 is a conferencing hub that provides users with exceptional AV experiences when using web-based conferencing systems. Intended for huddle rooms or small conference rooms, the SCR-20 uses Beamtracking™ microphones and professional grade DSP to optimize the audio quality, allowing far-end conference participants to experience the conversation naturally. The Devio SCR-20 supports a variety of room designs for computer-based conferencing including a BYOD approach or connection via a dedicated in-room PC.
