A feature display that leads the room.

As part of the upgrade, all obsolete AV equipment was decommissioned and removed to make way for a streamlined, high-performance system.

The room was fitted with a multi-display solution to maximise visibility and usability. This included a Samsung QE75T 75” 4K UHD display positioned centrally, flanked by two Samsung QE65T-L 65” 4K UHD displays and an additional Samsung QE85T 85” 4K UHD display installed to replace the existing projection system. This configuration ensures optimal viewing across the space, supporting a variety of content types including clinical imaging and presentations.

Carefully controlled operation.

At the core of the system, Crestron DM NVX AV-over-IP technology was deployed to deliver high-quality audio, video, USB and control signals across a dedicated network. This enables seamless routing of content between multiple PCs, microscope outputs and display endpoints, providing ultimate flexibility in how information is presented.

A Crestron CP4N Control Processor was implemented to power a simplified and intuitive touch screen interface, allowing users to easily manage sources, displays and room functionality.

Advanced audio for complete coverage.

To further enhance usability, Crestron AirMedia Wireless Presentation solutions were installed in both spaces, enabling users to share content from laptops and mobile devices via USB-C, Miracast or AirPlay with minimal setup.

Existing infrastructure was thoughtfully integrated into the new system, including Shure ceiling microphone arrays, a Biamp DSP and a Logitech PTZ camera, ensuring high-quality audio capture and video conferencing capabilities. The existing Crestron UC Engine was also upgraded to meet current compliance and warranty standards.
