Austin Health engaged Vision One Technologies to design and deploy a modern, high-performance conferencing solution for the Seminar Room within the Boronia Building at the Repatriation Hospital in Heidelberg. The objective was to create a simple, reliable and high-quality Microsoft Teams-enabled space that could seamlessly support both virtual meetings and in-room presentations—without requiring complex user interaction.

A video conferencing setup that couldn't be easier.
Vision One delivered a tailored, high-performance AV solution centred around simplicity, reliability and exceptional user experience. A large-format LG 86UR640S Commercial Display was installed, providing outstanding image clarity, wide viewing angles and reliable performance for daily use—ensuring all participants in the room can clearly engage with presented content and video conferencing sessions.
At the core of the conferencing experience is the Biamp VBC 2800 Conference Video Bar, an all-in-one solution delivering precise voice capture through beamforming microphone technology, alongside advanced echo cancellation and noise reduction. The integrated high-definition camera and speakers ensure a natural and engaging experience for both in-room and remote participants. System testing confirmed the VBC 2800 as a standout performer, delivering exceptional clarity and consistency.
The system is powered by a dedicated in-room PC, discreetly mounted behind the display. This configuration enables automatic connection to the display and video bar, direct access to a Microsoft Teams account and fast, streamlined meeting startup. Users interact with the system via a Logitech MK850 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, providing familiar, flexible control from anywhere within the room while maintaining a clean, cable-free environment.
The Seminar Room now operates across two primary modes:
- Microsoft Teams Conferencing: Users can log into the dedicated Teams account and launch meetings directly, benefiting from high-quality audio and video for seamless collaboration.
- Local Presentation Mode: The system functions as a standard presentation platform, allowing users to present content directly from the in-room PC—ideal for training sessions, seminars and internal meetings.
