Established in 2009, Manor Lakes P-12 College, located in Wyndham Vale, Victoria, is a progressive educational institution committed to enhancing learning outcomes and pathways for all its students. As the academic year of 2022 approached its end, Manor Lakes entered the market in the hopes of deploying an immersive and captivating environment for its students. To achieve this, they turned to Vision One Technologies, a trusted provider of cutting-edge audiovisual solutions, to design and install a show-stopping audio visual wall system that would leave a lasting impression on students and visitors alike.
The Need for Show-Stopping Display
After a period of internal research and enquiry, Manor Lakes P-12 College committed to the implementation of a solution that could transform their gymnasium into an engaging and visually stunning space. The aim was to captivate students with mesmerising and immersive display and sound, all while accommodating ambient light levels and future-technology expectations. The challenge was to design and implement a solution that would deliver a dazzling “WOW” effect while meeting the school’s unique requirements.
Aurora LED, to the Rescue
To create an unparalleled audio visual solution, Vision One Technologies joined forces with the team at Aurora Signage – an Australian-based LED vendor, critically-acclaimed for their range of innovative display products. The collaboration resulted in the installation of a double, large-format arrangement consisting of two 4 x 2-meter Aurora Signage LED Displays in the school’s gymnasium. These displays were symmetrically placed on either side of the gym’s largest wall to create a visually striking environment.
The Aurora Displays boasted an impressive display resolution, allowing for high-definition (HD) and full high-definition (FHD) content. With a brightness level exceeding 1250 NITS, the displays were ideal for coping with ambient light levels and surpassing the limitations of conventional video walls.
To complement the stunning visuals, Vision One incorporated the familiar Audac KYRA24 Column Speaker specification, accompanied by an Audac BASO12 Subwoofer, to provide extraordinary clarity and detailed sound. The combination of these powerful audio products ensured an immersive auditory experience for its audience. The system was further enhanced by a 4x400w Power Amplifier and a 6-Channel Pre-Amplifier, which seamlessly integrated into a new equipment rack, making it an ideal match for acoustically challenging venues.
For seamless control, we supplied and installed an RTI Control System (via a 7″ touchscreen), driven by the XP-6s control processor. the XP-6s control processor is the perfect centerpiece of any professionally installed control and automation system. Communications are delivered via IP, RS-232, infrared and relays, allowing for support of the entire RTI ecosystem and connected subsystems.
Along with an HDMI Wall Plate, we fitted the system with the trusted wireless technology of the Kramer VIA GO² Wireless Presentation Device. The Kramer VIA GO² enables instant wireless connectivity for users of iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC, and Mac devices, offering advanced 4K presentation capabilities.
