Carey Baptist Grammar School is an independent, co-educational, Christian day school in Victoria, Australia. As part of the school’s commitment to educational and societal excellence, approvals were given for newly-submitted renovation works in the William Carey Chapel. Works included the design and deployment of a new, state-of-the-art, Crestron-powered audio visual system, keeping technologies uniform with recent classroom upgrades.
We supplied and installed 2x LG 86″ UT Series Ultra HD Professional Displays on either sides of the altar. LG Commercial TVs are designed for diverse business environments. DPM compatibility, as well as smart connectivity and a simple user-friendly interface compliment the Ultra HD picture quality and create an easily adaptable presentation solution.
Next, we installed a new Audac Kyra Column Speakers Sounds System. The KYRA design column speaker consists of 2” high-quality aluminum cone full-range drivers, delivering extraordinary clarity and detailed sound. The overall continuous power handling reaches 120 Watt and the beamwidth of 170° x 20° makes it the perfect match for acoustically difficult venues, reducing echo and microphone feedback which optimizes the speech intelligibility in reverberant venues. The remainder of the audio system consisted of 1x Audac PRE220 10-channel Pre-Amplifier; 1x Audac PMQ600 4-Channel 100V Power Amplifier, 6x Audac MERO5 5” Rectangular in-Ceiling Speakers, 1x Void VENU BASS 12” installation sub-woofer and 1x Gooseneck microphone.
To fulfil the requirements of hearing augmentation, we supplied and installed a Williams Sound WI-IRSY5 – Medium-area Infrared System. Each IRSY5 package included: (1) IRT2 transmitter (3) WIRRX22-4N, 4-channel infrared receiver (3) HED021 folding headphones, (2) NKL001 neck loops, (8) BAT001, 1 IDP008. Building on years of infrared audio delivery expertise, Williams Sound is pleased to introduce the new SoundPlus® IR T2 commercial-grade, medium-area infrared transmitter. Its sleek, compact footprint is ideal for assistive listening and language interpretation in commercial spaces such as conference rooms, assisted living facilities, small cinema/theaters, classrooms and courtrooms.
Finally, to control the system, we deployed a Crestron control environment comprising: 1x DMPS3-4K-150-C DigitalMedia presentation system; 1x TSW-560-B-S 5” touch screens (black); 2x TSW-760-B-S 7” touch screen (black); 1x DM-DA4-4k-C 1: 4K HDMI splitter; 4x DM-RMC-4KZ-100-C HDR receiver & room controller and 1x DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G-B-T HDMI DigitalMedia wall plate.
