Lalor Gardens Primary School is a Melbourne-based school committed to providing excellence in educational provision. Located in the nearby suburb of Lalor, the team at Vision One were commissioned by the school to design and deliver a “showpiece” audio visual system for their new multi-purpose hall.
The brief was simple: audio and visual excellence, by any means necessary! We kicked things off with the supply and installation of two 2×2 NEC X555UNV Video Wall Display Panels, strategically positioned on either side of the stage. The video walls were housed within custom-built Ultralift frames, complete with stylish side-shrouds and protective Perspex glass.
Two Audac GIAX Column Speakers were installed immediately beside each video wall cluster while the lower end was complimented by 2x conveniently-mounted BASO12 12″ subwoofers. Again, Ultralift came to the rescue, designing and manufacturing unobtrusive and protective speaker cages for each audio element. The GIAX is a design column speaker with an extraordinary sound and surprising high power for use in all applications where audibility of music and speech is most important. It features a line array with 24 special designed 2″ drivers, which are located on precisely calculated locations to accomplish a wide sound dispersion, while it gives the impression of listening to just a single sound source but with a more distributed sound coverage.
A Parallel Audio Stage-100 Wireless Microphone system was also installed, giving the school wireless and handheld presentation capabilities.
Inside a 12RU Equipment Rack, we installed an Audac SMQ350 Power Amplifier and a PRE116 Mixer. The SMQ350’s WaveDynamics™ DSP processor in combination with the 2.5” LCD display gives an unmatched user experience with intuitive functions overview for easy configuration.
For connectivity, a powered HDBaseT/HDMI Wall Plate Transmitter was installed on the side of the stage, while a custom Vision One JED T460 Wall Controller delivers system operation and general control.
