Essendon Fields is one of Melbourne’s largest master-planned office hubs, as well as the home to Melbourne’s Essendon Airport Terminal.
Our Vision One design and installation technicians were commissioned to supply and install a new audio visual and video conference system at Essendon Fields HQ’s main Boardroom.
An Epson EB-L510U 5,000 ANSI Lumens WUXGA Laser Light Projector was ceiling-mounted, installed to throw onto a large Grandview 110″(2370x1480mm) Motorised Smart Projection Screen. Epson’s laser light technology – rated for 20,000 operating house – means that the staff at Essendon Fields avoid the the unwanted inconvenience of down-time and the cost of lamp changes.
4x in-ceiling flush-mounted speakers were installed in the ceiling, powered by an Australian Monitor 120w Mixer/Amplifier. This allowed for both presentation and VC audio playback.
A HuddleCam 10x Optical Zoom PTZ USB Camera was installed on a wall bracket above the whiteboard while a Biamp Devio SCR-20 Conference Room Docking System was installed in a dedicated AV/network rack. Intended for huddle rooms or small video conference rooms, the SCR-20 uses beamtracking™ microphones and professional grade DSP to optimise the audio quality, allowing far-end conference participants to experience the conversation naturally.
For wireless connectivity, a Kramer VIA GO Wireless Presentation Device was installed and connected to the projector’s second HDMI input. VIA GO gives iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC, and Mac users instant wireless connectivity with advanced presentation capabilities. In addition, users were provided with multiple VIA Pad Step-In Touch Devices. The VIA Pad is an optional touch pad accessory for the VIA product line that enables users to easily present their laptop screen on a main display.
The system is controlled via a Crestron -licensesd Apple iPad Mini UI with the 3-Series Room Controller Processor and a 4:1 HDMI Switcher forming the backbone of the infrastructure.
