Whittlesea City Council is a subdivided municipality incorporating suburbs like Bundoora, Thomastown, Mill Park, Lalor and South Morang. Vision One’s long-term partnership with the City of Whittlesea culminated into a collaborative and innovative audio visual masterpiece for the Council’s new Innovation Hub and Training Room.
In the Innovation Hub, we supplied and installed an 86″ Activ2Touch Interactive Display Panel and 2x 75″ Activ2Touch Interactive Display Panels. The stylish, simplistic design of the Activ2Touch panels make them suitable in every environment. With reflective protection glass surfaces – fitted to help reduce the reflection of light – these touch screens were the perfect value-for-money solution.
The 86″ Interactive Display was referred to as the “master.” By selecting HDMI 2 on the 2x “slave” 75″ Interactive Displays, users were able to mirror the content from the 86″, facilitating a larger and more collaborative training and presentation space.
The 2x 75″ Panels were fitted with designated inDESIGN Soundbars while the 86″ was wired for use with 4x Flush-Mounted In-Ceiling Speakers, painted black to match the ceiling colour. A Stage-100M Lapel Wireless Microphone System was also connected to the mixer/amplifier for mobile presenting. A Blue Gum B-Series Lectern was installed and fitted with a Gooseneck Microphone, wired back to the mixer/amplifier.
With training a paramount component of the brief, 2x HuddleCam 3x Entry-Level PTZ USB Cameras were installed in both the Innovation Hub and the Training Room, placed strategically to capture the presenter when moving around the space. The use of specific software enables the recording/capture of both video and audio, allowing for training sessions to be uploaded for playback across the Council’s corporate network. For the Innovation Hub, we installed 2x Ceiling Hanging Microphones and connected them to a Biamp Devio CR1T Conference Room Dock System, while in the Training Room, a Tabletop Microphone was connected to its respective Devio console. Intended for huddle rooms or small conference rooms, the SCR-25 uses beamtracking™ microphones and professional grade DSP to optimise the audio quality, allowing far-end conference participants to experience the conversation naturally.
In the Training Room, we installed a Hitachi CPWU5505 Full HD Projector on a ceiling mount and projected this content onto a CinemaSnap Fixed Frame Screen. 4x Ceiling Speakers and an AMC+120 mixer/amplifier was also installed in order to transmit the HDMI OUT audio across the space. One of our custom JED T440 Projector Keypad Controllers was also fitted for global system control, enforcing the simplicity of the entire system.
